Sitting up & hanging out

Sawyer is really sitting up well now. He still wobbles back and forth so of course we are there to provide support, but it won't be long now and he'll be sitting up on his own. He tried squash this week and made a terrible face but is now eating it and seems to enjoy the different menu item. Several people have commented on the fact that I am not posted in any of the pictures on this site...so, last night I took a self portrait with Sawyer, Quila and Hope (in the background). Daddy was in surgery until late so we hung out and read books, played "tickle monster" and took pictures. What a night :)

Intro to solid foods

This past week Sawyer has been introduced to rice cereal and has done pretty well with it. He opens his mouth when the spoon approaches but most of the cereal ends up around his mouth and not in it! He really enjoys the taste of the highchair table and almost prefers that over the cereal I'm trying to feed him. He continues to makes us laugh more and more each day.

The season is changing

This week was the 1st time we had to buddle Sawyer up to go out in the a.m. He looked so darned cute in that hat and coat :) We had Dan's cousin and her friend over for dinner on Sunday and Sawyer was a very socail little man that delighted them all night. He was suppose to be sleeping but instead hung out with us and made everyone (especially Daddy) laugh till we hurt. We are planning on going to see the farm animals this weekend at the Latah Co. Fair. Sawyer should get a kick out of that.

Sawyer's first vacation

This past weekend (Labor Day) my mom, dad, sister, Dan, Sawyer and I went to Scottsdale, AZ for some much needed relaxation. Sawyer had the opportunity to socialize with the people that love him most and get in the pool A LOT :) He loves it.
