Our Day

Today Sawyer & I took our usual walk. Dora, our foster doggie is pictured with Sawyer. She has lost 17 lbs. since we got her in May! She loves her walks :) We all enjoyed the cooler weather by hanging out in the backyard with Sawyer's new shovel he got from Papa & Grandma.

Dinner with friends

Tonight we hosted a small group of visiting Rwanda students and enjoyed every bit of it. Sawyer was a hit...of course :) The high school students were selected because they were at the top of their classes so they were incredibly articulate and a lot of fun to chat with.

Pool Party

Sawyer had lots of fun today with his next door neighbor friend, Riley. They were both not interested in EVER coming out of the pool!

Sawyer's first instrument

Sawyer received a harmonica from grandpa for his 1st b-day and is now really enjoying playing it :) He moves head and body to the tunes...it's very entertaining!

Weekend Fun

These are pictures of our trip to Western WA the end of June. We went to the Woodland Park Zoo, took a ferry ride to Whidbey Island and went and watched Quila and Dad take a herding lesson.

Best friends

Sawyer and Quila become better friends each day :) I really can't imagine one without the other. It's really the cutest thing to watch how much they love each other.

A couple weekend's ago Sawyer's cousin, Delanee along with his aunt and uncle from Bozeman came to visit. Here are some pictures of the two. Delanee wasn't sure what to think of this little guy at first, but she quickly warmed up and they had a lot of fun together ;)

We went to Manito Park in Spokane on Sunday and really enjoyed the flowers and beautiful weather.

Sawyer had all of the dog's attention this weekend when we made a quick trip to Olympia for my dad's retirement party.

The grass is growing and so is Sawyer! Had to post a couple cute photos we took yesterday. It's amazing the joy such simple things bring!

Sawyer and our new foster dog "Katie" have really hit it off. She is such a little angel and adores Sawyer. She does have a couple really good applications though so this will not be a 4th dog for our family!

Walking more & more

Fresh from the bathtub, Sawyer discovered cars, trucks & motorcycles on his jammies tonight! It was so cute to see him get excited at what he saw on his jammies :) He is walking more then he is crawling these days. Still very uneasy but he doesn't mind a fall now and then.

Sawyer's birthday weekend

Happy 1st Birthday, Sawyer! We enjoyed this past weekend with our friends and family in Olympia and made many wonderful memories. Sawyer was able to relax with Grandpa in his easy chair, visit with his horse Heidi, have lunch by the Olympia waterfront and of course get plenty of kisses from all of us! Thank you to all of you that helped us celebrate this special boy's birthday.
